Good Night Forever? Maybe. The Detroit Zoo would never be in danger of closing if it were up to the kids.

Kids would keep the Zoo open if they could. If only they were old enough to reach the voting switches.

The Zoo is worth keeping, and if it were up to the ones who enjoy it most, there would be no vote.

Vote yes on the Zoo or get off my lawn! Fortunately, this yard sign made for a much friendlier reminder to support the Zoo.

Everywhere you looked was a reminder. Collateral materials keep the message front and center.

Keeping the Zoo open was an emotional issue, but people also needed the facts.

Growing up in Detroit meant going to the Detroit Zoo. When there was a threat of closure, this campaign was critical in reminding people just how special the iconic institution was.

Detroit Zoo | Worth Keeping

The Detroit Zoo’s future was in question when a proposed tax to fund it hit the ballot. Thankfully, no parent wants their kids to miss out on the Zoo experience they’ve always enjoyed. Despite a falling economy and rising unemployment, people voted with their hearts and their wallets. “Our Zoo is Worth Keeping” became the rallying cry on TV, print, outdoor, plus unique election signs that became collector’s items. The tax passed with a 72% approval rating and the Zoo set new attendance records.
